$95, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Gippsland.

If you’re on the hunt for the very upper echelon of Australian chardonnay then you need to put this wine on your radar. Or preferably, on your table. It’s an elite class Australian chardonnay. The sling of stonefruit, the integration of oak, the white flowers notes and most especially, the gorgeous sling of bright fruit-and-umami flavour that extends out through the finish; it’s all pretty much mesmerising. And it will improve yet further over the next few years as well. 96 points.

Over on (subscriber) The Winefront site all the latest Patrick Sullivan chardonnays have been reviewed, as have a few dozen of his back catalogue wines.
