Pierro VR Chardonnay 2022
$180, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Margaret River.

This is a fabulous bottle of chardonnay. Bugger me. It’s straw-green in colour, it’s loaded with flavour, it carries Unami notes as if they’re commonplace, and it goes for gold through the finish. It tastes of pears and cream, butter and lime-spider, pink peppercorn, bacon fat, brine and a flood of peach. It’s a gorgeous wine, hands down, for sure, no doubt. 97 points.
