This is super luscious. It presents vanilla, chocolate and cream characters in significant measure, and attaches these aspects to sizeable servings of fresh and roasted plum, black cherry, redcurrant, mint and cedar. The choc-mint aspect of this wine is as overt as it is welcoming. This is a saturated shiraz; in both fruit and in oak. Tannin is fine-grained and present, but non-obtrusive. It’s all a bit old-school but it’s fresh and vibrant with it; it’s not over-cooked, it keeps its motor humming.
