Singlefile Clement is always tasty and always interesting. It’s a blend of mataro, grenache and shiraz, and this year’s release – while firm and well-structured – throws five-spice, leaf matter, peppers, peanuts and cedar characters into a pool of ripe, medium-0weight, berried fruit flavour. Everything feels finely stitched and well placed, the net effect entirely satisfying. I wouldn’t be surprised if this improves with some extra time in the bottle as well. 93+ points.
