Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Shiraz 2023

Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Shiraz 2023
$25, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Eden Valley.

Torzi’s Schist Rock Shiraz has been a favourite for a long time and the value on offer is still right up there. This 2023 release is another goodun’. It’s spicy, floral, dark fruited and accessible, but carries just enough dry tannin through the finish to give it some shape. Mint, meat, floral and jellied dark berried fruit flavours flood through the mouth, followed by whispers of nuts and leaves. The combination of ripe, juicy fruit and meaty/spicy side notes is spot on here. 92 points and worth every cent.
