Aramis The Heir Syrah 2019

Mattinson review of Aramis The Heir Syrah 2015.

Aramis The Heir Syrah 2019
$80, 14.5%, DIAM cork, McLaren Vale.

This is a pretty release of Aramis The Heir Syrah, and a very good one. It smells and tastes initially of violets and vanilla, though it quickly sweeps ripe plum, sweet mint, cedar and milk coffee characters into the picture. A burst of red licorice enters the fray as the wine breathes. This wine is six years old and yet it’s still lively and fresh; it almost has a friskiness. Drinking it is a highly enjoyable experience. 93 points.
