Intensity of fruit and indeed texture are both high class here but it’s the wave of velvety tannin that grabs at your memory and refuses to let go. This is a memorably good wine. Fruit, coal, earth, rust, mineral and old flowers; all these notes form a raft of flavour and nuance that won’t easily be stopped. 94 points.
