AU$65, 12.3% alcohol, screwcap, Macedon Ranges.

Exaggerated flint notes introduce a wine of flare, intrigue, drama and flavour. This wine does not walk a middle road; it takes a side, and drives it with conviction. It tastes of hay, honey, grilled peach, burnt matchsticks, lemon curd and cooked apples. I wouldn’t call it balanced but I would call it captivating, if not electrifying. It’s not a safe wine. It will polarise. I personally think that it’s excellent.
