Wynns Old Vines Shiraz 2024

Bottle of Wynns Old Vines Shiraz 2024.

Wynns Old Vines Shiraz 2024
$45, 13.4% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

I’m tempted to call this wine ‘safe as houses’ but it’s better than that. It’s soft, well powered, feels plush in the mouth and is cut intricately with tannin. It tastes of plums and peppercorns, mostly, with sweet spice, woodsmoke, iodine and cedar notes making sure that there are no gaps – and that it’s expressive. It has very good length, flavour, mouthfeel and finish. It’s faultless, enjoyable and more. 94 points.
