Rochford Isabella’s Chardonnay 2023
$75, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Yarra Valley.

This is a serious chardonnay offering both substantial flavour and complexity. It’s a taut wine but that doesn’t stop the meal, grilled peach, honeysuckle and flint characters from exploding forth, bringing cream and nougat characters along for the ride. The finish is then all citrus, cream and cedar – and more importantly, is ultra convincing. This is top notch gear from Rochford. 94+ points.
