Nine One Six Sparkling Blanc De Noir 2022

Nine One Six Sparkling Blanc De Noir 2022
$60, 12% alcohol, DIAM cork, Yarra Valley.

This is from a Yarra Valley vineyard that was planted in 1996. The vineyard is 100% Pinot Noir as of course is this (sparkling ) wine.

It’s a complex wine. Chalk, citrus, cooked apple, a meaty aspect, a distinct dryness. There are spice, blackcurrant bud and herb notes in among the drives of apple, stones, strawberries and yeast. Serious, this wine most definitely is. It belongs on the dinner table as much or more than it does at a celebration. It’s impressive. 93 points.
