Mumm Brut Rosé NV
$40, 12% alcohol, DIAM cork, Marlborough/NZ.

Sparkling wine, from Marlborough in New Zealand, made by Mumm, priced at $40. This falls safely into the “what’s not to like” category. It tastes of strawberries, cooked apples, citrus and spiced fruit-bread, and while it’s generally refreshing and fun, it has above-average concentration of flavour and indeed complexity. It’s a win. It’s a no-brainer. It’s a buy. 92 points.
