If you like cabernet, you’ll like this. It’s gently leafy, well fruited with boysenberry and blackcurrant flavours, has a modest creamy softness to the texture, and brings lifted notes of mint and bay leaf to the table as well. Indeed you don’t often see such neatness, texture and flavour at this price level; this one ids a bit out of the box. It is leafy/dusty etc so you do need to like those characters and cabernet in general. But with that caveat, the value is very high.
The Little Giant brand is often prominent at Dan Murphy’s stores: if you see this one, it’s worth jumping on.
