Provenance Ballarat Pinot Noir 2023

Mattinson review of Provenance Ballarat Pinot Noir 2023.

Provenance Ballarat Pinot Noir 2023
$55, 13.3% alcohol, screwcap, Ballarat.

Some wines somehow manage to have a refreshing, almost watery feel, even as they deliver satisfying flavour. This is one such wine. It has strength of character even as it delivers its delicate messages. It tastes of cranberry, black cherry, roasted nuts and peppercorns, and it delivers these flavours on a layer of silk. There’s genuine finesse here. And a genuine fineness to the tannin. And excellent length too. 94 points.
