Provenance Geelong Pinot Noir 2023

Mattinson review of Provenance Geelong Pinot Noir 2023

Provenance Geelong Pinot Noir 2023
$55, 13.6% alcohol, screwcap, Geelong.

What this wine does is combine – expertly – complex flavour, depth of varietal fruit, and general delicious drinkability. It’s a textbook example of Geelong Pinot Noir at its best and indeed of the high craft of the Provenance crew. It’s grown on a single vineyard, it shows beetroot, earth and spice notes as much as it does red cherry, smoked meats and peppercorns, and at every turn it feels complete. This is, simply, a beautiful wine. 94 points.
