Pisoni Lucy Pico Blanco 2023

Mattinson review of Pisoni Lucy Pico Blanco 2023.

Pisoni Lucy Pico Blanco 2023
14.1% alcohol, cork, Monterey County USA (Santa Lucia Highlands and Arroyo Seco).

This wine was my introduction to the wines of Pisoni. From the first sip it was clear that we have a special producer here. It’s grown on two sites in Monterey County (USA) and it’s a blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. It’s fruity, floral, herbal and saline at once, the latter aspect the conduit to texture. The effect is quite something. There’s a poise to this wine. Both its flavour volume and flavour profile are so harmoniously served. I put my glass down and thought, What a lovely wine. 94 points.
