Pirramimma Hartfell Shiraz 2022

Mattinson review of Pirramimma Hartfell Shiraz 2022.

Pirramimma Hartfell Shiraz 2022
$150, 14.8% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is deep, dark, creamy and soft. It’s an inky shiraz, laden with blackberry, scorched plum, kirsch and toast flavours, and then overlaid with milk coffee, resin, smoked cedarwood and coconut-covered-in-chocolate. There’s a dryness to the finish and a whole lot of flavour to the mid palate. It’s the all-you-can-eat of wine, in the most old school of ways, and with an immense amount of flavour. 93 points.
