Cain Sangiovese 2024

Cain Sangiovese 2024
$36, 12.5% alcohol, screwcap, Adelaide Hills.

This is a lovely, light Sangiovese with juicy fruit throughout, attractive spice notes and excellent persistence through the finish. It’s an archetype of the variety, in the best of ways. Blueberries, red and back cherries, pebble-like characters and a thread of leafy, spicy, savoury dryness. It feels immaculate and drinks a treat. All the ducks are in a row here. 93 points.
