Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

Mattinson review of Allegiance-Wines-The-Artisan-Reserve-Coonawarra-Cabernet-Sauvignon-2024

Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
$70, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

A significant bloom of flavour combines beautifully here with a curl of authoritative tannin. Rose petal and violet notes – combined with sweet, smoked cedarwood characters – adds both lift and an impression of ‘extra’. There’s a twiggy, briary, herbal bass note through the back palate but the fruit washes straight on over it. This is an impressive wine. 93+ points.
