This has some meat on its bones. It tastes of plum, mace, asphalt, sweet cedar and gum leaf, though a swoosh of ripe redcurrant is a significant part of the deal too. The fruit has subtance but it’s the tannin that seals it; long chains, dry and grainy, harmonious to the fruit and at the same time, commanding of it. Excellent length. Lots of carry. Bones, flesh and fancy. It’s all up there.
