J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Arroyo Seco Chardonnay 2023
14.5% alcohol, Arroyo Seco, Monterey.

If you like rich, generous Chardonnay you'd hoover this straight up. It offers caramel notes, and grilled peach flavours, and with this comes a certain creaminess to the texture. We’re looking at very ripe fruit here – it almost feels sweet, such is the fruit ripeness – with rounds of custard and toffee notes layered through toasted stonefruits, into cooked apple. This is US $25; you get a lot of bang for your buck here. 92 points.
