This presents a sheet of elegant flavour, the fruit beautifully ripened, the spice notes delicately inlaid, and the tannin so fine that it’s part of the wine’s quality and of its insistence. It’s not a heavy wine or an especially deep one, but its cherry-raspberry flavours generate their own power, and there’s genuine flare to the finish. Bang on, this is excellent. 95 points.
