This is seductive. It’s rich, sweet, soft, ballooned with fruit-and-oak flavour and neat through the finish. It tastes of roasted plums and toast, redcurrant, caramel and toffee, with a chocolate-and-cream plushness running over the top. This kind of richness will hold the wine in good stead but it’s drinking very well now. 93 points.
