AU$45, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Tumbarumba.

There’s a brightness to this wine, and a spread of smooth musky vanillin, and round after round of sweet, roasted spice and woodsmoke notes. All these things combined make for super attractive drinking, especially when you then add fine-grained tannin, excellent shape, and genuine persistence through the finish. At the heart of this wine though – importantly – is bright, beautifully ripened, fragrant fruit. It’s impossible not to be impressed.
