Curly Flat Reserve Pinot Noir 2024
AU$95, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Macedon Ranges.

This is a seductive pinot noir. It shows powerful fruit and powerful oak, the latter evident as aroma, texture and flavour. Cherry-plum characters are the main drivers, though a combination of sweet spice, cedar-cream, woodsmoke and raspberry notes all swim extravagantly within the same pool. This wine is seamless now, but it needs more time for the oak to sink down further. Don’t touch it for another two years at least. After that, it promises to be seriously good.
