Winemaker Steve Flamsteed introduced this wine with the words “this is a bit of beast in gamay terms”.

It’s a powerhouse gamay with cherry and violets and almost plum-like characters driving through fields of spice, citrus rind and flowers. Tannin is so fruity and yet so spicy. It’s both a velvety wine and one that is fresh with cleansing, mouthwatering acidity. Ripper. There’s such fine grain to the tannin, and a deal of it too. It’s all a bit mesmerising. Love this.
