This wine leaps from the glass. In fact as soon as the wine started tumbling into my glass the aroma rushed up at me in a way that I rarely come across; this wine is eager to say hello. It tastes of pears, mostly, sunny and ripe, with crisp green apple and nectarine characters shooting attractively throughout. There’s a flash of cedarwood-and-hay oak flavour here, just enough to give the wine an extra spruce, though it remains inherently fruit-driven and, indeed, refreshing. 92+ points.
