Haselgrove The Ambassador Shiraz 2024

Bottle of Haselgrove The Ambassador Shiraz 2024.

Haselgrove The Ambassador Shiraz 2024
$100, 14.5% alcohol, DIAM cork, McLaren Vale.

This is a dramatic style of wine and it’s also dramatically good. It delivers wave after wave of rich, dark, chocolate-and-blackberry flavour, with vanilla-cream and bay leaf notes woven through. Cedarwood oak plays a supporting role only; the hero here is McLaren Vale Shiraz fruit and a mountain of it. All this flavour comes stitched with fine-grained tannin. We are in the presence of excellence here. We are in the presence of sustained richness. 96 points.
