Terrific cabernet. So complex, so fresh, so well fruited and then so exquisitely persistent. Full marks from every angle here. It tastes of leafy herbs, tobacco, boysenberry and redcurrant, with smoky oak offered in whispers. The inherent quality and character of the fruit is paramount here. The assertion of tannin is elite. It’s a leafy, almost mulch-y style, and it’s beautiful. 95 points.
