There’s substance to this Pinot Noir but there’s also a perfumed prettiness. It tastes of red cherries and plums with peppercorn and smoked bacon notes, though it’s the rush of violets and vanilla pod that really lifts and enlivens it. Tannin in this wine is well placed and it follows through appreciably on the finish, but the key take-home of this wine is that it feels more-ish at every step along the way.
