$85, 14.5% alcohol, DIAM cork, Coonawarra.

Plum, mint, chocolate and floral characters – all of which are primary sources of flavour – dominate this wine, which is remarkable given that it’s over ten years old. Earth, tobacco and leather notes rest in the background, adding complexity and indeed a savoury side. This is a warm, rich, full-throttle shiraz that is still rocking a great deal of fruit even with a decade under its belt. 92 points.
