Marnong Estate Single Vineyard Fiano 2024
$35, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Sunbury.

This is an attractive white wine, for certain. It’s zippy and crisp but then there’s a gentle softness to its texture and, flavour-wise, it has a bit extra too, the latter particularly once the wine has had a chance to breathe. It tastes of honey and barley, pear and honeydew melon, with musk and slate characters hovering thereabouts. There’s astute, careful, winemaking in play here. The end result is an elegant and (very) good white wine. 93 points.
