$30, 12.5% alcohol, screwcap, Margaret River.

Fermented in French oak barriques and matured on lees for nine months.

This wine is beautifully turned out. The gentle creaminess of the texture, the textbook delivery of peach, pear and cedarwood flavour, the dry-but-juicy nature of the finish and the extras of toasted hay and popcorn-like notes that hover throughout. This wine is as sophisticated as it is delicious; it delivers flavour and aroma, and it does so in style. 93 points.
