This is velvety but not syrupy, intense with sweet fruit flavour but not baked of overdone. It’s classic in a brute force kind of way. It tastes of redcurrant, blackcurrant, plums, cloves, and an assortment of florals and mint, with milk coffee, choc-orange and roasted spice notes all contributing handsomely, and positively. This is one hell of a wine, all told. It’s big and it’s beautiful. 95 points – Campbell Mattinson.
