This is light, firm, savoury and insistent. It’s a cool-tempered pinot, its forest berry flavours served ripe but not sweet, its chestnut, undergrowth, crushed rose and briar bush notes twirling into a stringy, twine-like finish. There’s nothing edgy about this wine and yet it exists close to it; it’s fresh and delicate, complex and lovely at once.
