Yering Station Chardonnay 2016
AU$55, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Yarra Valley.

Museum release.

There are some richly developed characters in play here but at ten years of age, this wine is both remarkably youthful and remarkably delicious. In fact it’s a bit of an eye-opener. It tastes of grilled peach, butter, toast, sweet herbs and ripe pears, and from start to finish it is 100% convincing. Yes please. This is drinking a treat right now, and will keep drinking well for some time yet.
