Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2024
AU$72, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Macedon Ranges.

It’s pinot noir and so delicacy is part of the equation but in any case: this is a rock solid release of Curly Flat Pinot Noir. It’s a wine of perfume, power and structure with balance and length in top form too. It tastes of cherry-plum, cream, mint, twiggy herbs, a slip of earth and toast. It carries a modest but well-placed infusion of polished cedarwood oak too. I’m generally of the view that Curly Flat Pinot Noir is best cellared; this release is perfect too for that role but it’s also beautiful to drink now.
