Codorníu Ars Collecta 459 Cava Gran Reserva Brut 2010

Bottle of Codorníu Ars Collecta 459 Cava Gran Reserva Brut 2010.

Codorníu Ars Collecta 459 Cava Gran Reserva Brut 2010
11.5% alcohol, cork, Cava/Spain.

Incredible intensity and length. Character writ large. Oysters and sherry. It’s very dry but so very intense. Grip to the finish. Bitter characters to the aftertaste as a positive. Chamomile notes. Salt. Sweet breads. This wine is something. Freshness of this for a 15 year old wine is off the charts. Finesse. Line. Fine. This wine is more than a drink, it’s an experience.

Score: 95/100.

This was tasted during a visit to the Codorníu winery where a great many wines were tasted. This is what I wrote in my notebook, hence the staccato style.
