Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige NV
$40, 12% alcohol, DIAM cork, Marlborough/NZ.

Great packaging, very good wine, stand-out value. This sparkling wine delivers exactly what you want: genuine fanfare to the flavour and an air of crispness. The flavours are in the lemon, peach, cinnamon-donut and strawberry realm but who’s counting when all the various ducks have been so skilfully placed in a row. It’s all about the wine in the bottle – which delivers handsomely – but gosh this bottle looks good on the table too. 93 points.
