$60, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Orange.

This is a firm, complex, serious pinot noir with charm in-laid and length to burn. It tastes of undergrowth, sweet-sour cherries, chicory and round after round of sweet spice, with autumnal leaf notes whispering as highlights. The complex array of flavour here is one thing – as is the wine’s overall, exquisite balance – but the structural authority of this wine is another. This is a mature, confident wine of both character and control. 94 points.
