Chatto Seven Inch Pinot Noir 2025

Bottle of Chatto Seven Inch Pinot Noir 2025.

Chatto Seven Inch Pinot Noir 2025
AU$70, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Tasmania.

This is the bottle of Pinot Noir that you always hope to encounter. It’s a pure example of the complementary nature of contradictions: frisky and sure-footed, nervy and composed, fruity and driven by mineral. It tastes of cherries, crushed purple flowers, alpine herbs, mace and orange rind, though it’s more apt to simply say: it tastes of quality Pinot Noir. Tannin is both fine-grained and soaked through with complex, smoky, mineral-edged flavour. We have here a ripping release of Seven Inch Pinot Noir. 95 points – Campbell Mattinson.
