Riposte The Sabre Pinot Noir 2024

Mattinson review of Riposte The Sabre Pinot Noir 2024.

Riposte The Sabre Pinot Noir 2024
$39, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Adelaide Hills.

This release of Riposte’s The Sabre Pinot Noir is meaty and floral and lovely. It’s complex in a charming way and openly accessible, but with nuanced extras. It tastes essentially of red and black cherries but with woodsmoke, sweet spices, purple flowers and those aforementioned deli meat characters all making positive contributions. There’s a touch of velvet to the mouthfeel too. This wine is on song. You can buy with confidence. 93 points.
