Shaw + Smith Lenswood Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024
$100, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Adelaide Hills.

This is a perfectly polished Pinot Noir with cherry-plum, beetroot, crushed red rose and cedarwood flavours running through a fleshy and dark (in varietal terms) palate. It’s a fresh, lively wine but there’s good depth here – and the complexity to go with it. Tannin is both silken and assertive at once, and it finishes with a satisfying run of cedar, sweet spice and cherry-berry flavour. Some extra time for the oak to nestle further into the fruit will do this wine a world of good. 93+ points.
