I simply set the parameters of “Margaret River” and “Chardonnay” and asked for a list of the best price-per-points wines on the site, taken from all reviews across the past two years. The result has not been doctored in any way; the numbers were crunched, and this is the result. Quality is key here, price is key too: both quality and price are paramount. The top price-per-point wine costs $30, the final wine costs $130, but the $130 wine is still absolutely relevant to the value equation because it scored so high.

What this list says to me is: value in Margaret River means accepting 93 points – or paying. Which is a fair proposition – and 93-point wines are excellent anyway.
